Hello all,

So I'm founder and head bureaucrat of the Red Orchestra Wiki and I'm considering changing its title and focus. Recently the sequel to Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 came out, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, which I hoped would bring in some new players and thus new editors. I've brought up the topic on the forums, talked about the wiki in-game, etc. but I cannot seem to garner any dedicated userbase.

Then the idea struck me to change the wiki from the Red Orchestra Wiki to the Tripwire Interactive Wiki. I know Strategy Wiki has great articles on Killing Floor, and though I obviously wouldn't copypasta, I would definitely try to make pages as good as those. One concern that came to me though, was trademark. Would I be able to have a wiki named Tripwire Interactive Wiki or would I have to shorten it to Tripwire Wiki or not be able to have the title at all?

Thanks for reading my inquiry,

I don't think having a game developer based wiki as an umbrella wiki for their games would work out too well. It would probably better to try to get some cross-pollination from wikis of other WW2 or Tripwire Interactive games (if you can find them).
However, if users at your wiki think it is a good idea and say they will contribute more if you make the change, you should do it.
I wouldn't worry about trademark concerns as long as you clearly identify the wiki as unofficial. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 15 Dec 2011 6:13 PM Pacific
Thanks for the input, I'll keep trying to build our userbase around Red Orchestra et al. –PatPeter 19:07, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
