Ask for a CheckUser to check it for you through Special:Contact. - Tjcool007 (Talk) 18:45, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
Admins do not have this tool, but as Tjcool007 said, you should Special:Contact to contact someone who can use CheckUser. However, you can't really be an admin unless you're logged in, so I'm a bit confused as to why you're logged out... --zzi 19:17, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

I forgot to log in. By the way can a bureaucrat do that? The Kool Egg... That Rox... That Rox Too Well 21:20, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

CheckUser (checkuser user rights group) is not part of the standard Wikia bureaucrat powers. Wikia Staff and VSTF users have this power as well as a few Helpers. There is also a checkuser-global user rights group, but I din't know how it is different from the normal one. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 28 Jul 2011 2:36 PM Pacific
Generally, if an admin suspects a user of malicious sockpuppeting, they can contact staff via Special:Contact and give us the two usernames, and we can research the IP addresses for them. In most situations, though, IP addresses are considered personal/private information, so admins don't have access to them. --Dopp WikiaStaff.png (help forum | blog) 21:43, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
Just to bolster Dopp’s comment, that’s a pretty standard security measure. Even over at Wikipedia, only a handful of users have CheckUser ability. By no means do all Administrators and Bureaucrats have access to the tool. Even they have to ask for a CheckUser to be run on their behalf. They also will not grant CheckUser to anyone under the age of 18 … not sure why … — SpikeToronto 07:08, July 29, 2011 (UTC)
The under 18 thing is likely because it is more difficult to enforce rules against or prosecute minors. There probably is no technical reason. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 29 Jul 2011 9:45 AM Pacific
