I was wondering if it was possible to separate information in columns like you can do on the a main page with:
Can this be done on a content pages? Or is this something that might not have enough room to do?
Those tags are meant for main pages only, I'm afraid.
But thanks to the new grid it's actually quite easy to create columns yourself. The grid divides the page into six columns. The article area has four columns and the siderail has two. There are four CSS classes for subdividing the grid: .grid-1, .grid-2, .grid-3 and .grid-4. .grid-1 is one column wide. .grid-2 is two columns wide, etc.
Take a look at the source code of this page and you will see that the article element has class .grid-4 and the siderail has class .grid-2
These two columns both have class .grid-2:

- Keep in mind that this will not render correctly in Monobook.TK-999 (talk) 19:14, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
- @TK: Almost nothing works out of the box in Monobook it seems. Considering how much extra work Monobook causes I'd really like to know how many people actively use it. Do you know? Does Wikia know? Are there statistics?
- @Hartmana: Sure, why not? Have you tried it and it didn't work? -- pecos 19:51, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
