On the Doom wiki, new editors don't get the automatic "welcome" post that they get on all other Wikia wikis I've seen. This to my mind is a good thing; because the welcome is automatic it is also meaningless and pointless -- and in some cases (spam or vandalism) it's also unmerited, and has to be deleted by an admin.

Hence I'd like to apply this setting to the other wikis on which I am an admin; but how is this done? -- RobertATfm (talk) 21:04, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

Change MediaWiki:Welcome-user to @disabled. Per Help:Welcome tool - Tjcool007 (Talk) 21:24, August 13, 2012 (UTC)
