I know I've created at least 3 wikis. I'm looking for one in particular. I not only can't find it but I also don't even know what it's called. Is there a list I can view that shows all wikis I've founded? Open your Heart 04:30, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
- No. You might try google. Ultimate Supreme talk · wiki I · wiki II 04:38, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Still can't find it...maybe the wiki I'm looking for just doesn't exist anymore? Would this generally happen without notice? Open your Heart 04:56, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
- No. Wikis are not deleted unless they are clear spams or something similar. Ultimate Supreme talk · wiki I · wiki II 05:05, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Have you tried using the list of wikis inherent in your profile? If you go to Special:MyPage and hover over your profile masthead, a little "edit" link should appear on the right side of the screen. A window will pop up and one of the sections you'll see is Wikis you've contributed to:. It only shows 4 wikis at a time, but if you click the trash can icon repeatedly, you can cycle through all the wikis you've ever edited. The name of the wiki you created should be in that list somewhere.
- Alternatively, you could email Wikia using Special:Contact explaining that you founded a wiki but you can't remember what it's called and if they could please give you a list of all wikis you've created. (They have a special tool that allows them to view your global contributions, however it's server-intensive and a potential privacy concern, which is why that tool isn't available to just anyone.) - Actually, wikis can sometimes get deleted without consent of the founder, particularly if it appears to have been abandoned and wasn't in a very advanced state of development. I've definitely seen cases where deletion of a wiki, usually by merger with another one, was the preferred course of action over adoption. In such cases, though, it's always possible to retrieve the contents of the wiki, with the help of Staff. You may not be able to get your URL back, though, if a new community has usurped it. For instance, the original founder of w:c:de.doctorwho no longer has immediate access to his or her work, and he or she couldn't get back that preferred URL anymore, because the community at w:c:de.doctorwhotorchwood recently took over the de.doctorwho URL. czechout ☎ ✍ fly tardis 20:54: Mon 17 Sep 2012
