Hey, I'm starting a wiki, but I can't seem to figure out how to create/add [This] sort of template to my wiki. Do I have to make a page for it, or what? Because when I try, it doesn't work. How do I get one of these templates for my wiki?Lumanaru 22:15, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

To create that template, you must make the page on your wiki. An easy way to add it is to edit the one on the CoD wiki, copy it all, and paste it on the template page you created. There, you will be able to edit the template further to match your wiki. Sorry, I see that the template contains many other templates to copy. An alternative is to copy all templates, or you can use this one. DaRanger (Talk ~ Contribs) 21:51 ~ 12/8/2011
How am I supposed to copy all templates? Where do they get copied to in the navbox? I'm rather confused about this whole thing...

You can copy them by highlighting the content and copying it using your browser (right-click copy, or Control+C) and pasting it in the template page you created. The information gets copied where the template will say {{{header}}} and {{{body}}}. For more help, Help:Templates and Help:Template parameters might help. Yes, but I mean, what information goes into the various areas? I tried copying into those areas, but it really didn't work. And the Help pages are hard to follow.

You could try using Substing to import the content of the templates onto a sandbox user subpage, and then just copy the source to your wiki. —Airhogs777 WCB WS 00:22, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
Hi Lumanaru, I left you a talk page message offering our new Admin Support Team to help you. Let me know what you think! --Meighan WikiaStaff.png (help forum | blog) 03:49, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
Did anyone mention the need to use "Source" mode of the editor when copying a template? Also, without a link to the wiki involved it will hard to help and see examples in action. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 15 Dec 2011 6:19 PM Pacific
