Hey, I jus founded a new wiki and I want to know how to make someone an Admin. Help? --Allie S.-- Glory lies not in making others fall, but in rising every time we fall. (Talk) 17:02, February 25, 2012 (UTC)

You go to Special:Userrights on your wiki, enter the user who you want to give rights to, click "Edit user groups, check the "administrator" box, and then hit "Save user groups". Riu (リウキツネ) (w) @fandom 17:23, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
Note that only Bureaucrats can make other users admins. As the founder of the wiki, you are both a Bureaucrat and an admin. Cat 19:01, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
Also dont make other users Bureaucrats by mistake as you canot revoke it only Wikia staff can do that. Also think carefully before making more users admins as do they need the admin tools (Admin status is NOT a rank of power on a wiki but a responsibility) a wiki does not need every regular user to be an admin. If a new user comes asking to be an Admin strait away be wary (we see a number of posts about 'problems with rouge admin' here due to such hasty appointments. See Help:Administrator's how-to guide and Help:Admin FAQ for some more info.
