A while back, I had created an Administrators' Discussion Board to help regulate interests that needed immediate attention from the leadership at Nukapedia. A feature I would like to have as an addition to help instill the ADB would be a template to notify the leadership whenever a new topic has been added or if an already existing topic has been updated by the original poster. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 19:59, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I looked around and it seems that a pure Javascript solution is not possible, because the notifications are generated by PHP. You could inquire via Special:Contact/general, but, given that I found no code of similar purpose in Wikia's codebase, your chances are slim.TK-999 (talk) 20:58, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your input. Hopefully someone will come along whom can propose an alternative. Any method is fine with me, really. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 23:48, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
Can't you simply ask the admins to follow the page? -- RandomTime 00:08, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
Right now during our dead period? Of course. But as one of the largest gaming wikis on Wikia, during our active periods it can be quite taxing to keep up with all of the pressing matters floating about. So right now I'm just looking towards the future when the next title presents itself. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 00:12, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
Honestly, the new Wall Forum is the easiest solution. Since we've installed it, I've been aware of every new thread within no more than a few hours of its posting. I won't defend every aspect of it, but the Wall Forum is the best thing I've ever seen on any MediaWiki installation for facilitating quick conversation. The highlight and following features really can't be beat. czechout@fandom    fly tardis 00:11: Thu 24 Jan 2013
Interestingly enough, the Message Wall feature is one of the topics discussed on my ADB. Myself and most of the community are staunchly against such a feature. (Not to mention that it would render quite a bit of our customization options rendered null.) So that is currently out of the question. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 00:14, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
I'd recommend having them follow the page and setting their preferences to have Wikia email them when something on their watchlist changes. Although I believe Wikia's notification system is currently broken (way to break a core mediawiki function), so this may not be the best idea right now. Cqm 11:44, 25 Jan 2013 (UTC)
