I have been away for a long time. Now I started a new wiki. I remeber that, some months ago, in other wikis, there was an option to create a default page template, so that everyone that adds new page, only has to fill this template. However, I do not find this option now - when I start a new page, I land in the default editor. How can I find this option in the new wiki?

Also, I do not find the option of a WYSIWYG editor. In my previous wiki I asked to cancel it, but in this wiki I want this to be the default. Where do I find this option?

Do you mean layouts? You have to turn that on from the Admin Dashboard.

Do you mean preload templates? Check out MW:Extension:CreateBox

Do you mean the Standard Layout? edit your version of MediaWiki:newpagelayout

WYSIWYG should be under your personal preferences.

I looked at all these places and didn't find anything!

• Here is what I have in my admin dashboard:
  • Wiki (Theme Designer, Recent Changes, Top Navigation, Wiki Features)
  • Community (User List, User Rights, Community Corner, Help)
  • Content (All Categories, Add a Page, Add a Photo, Add a Blog Post, Add Multiple Photos)
• I put a <createbox></createbox>, but, when I click "Create", all I get in a blank page, with no predefined layout.
• I also saw, in my Special:Version page, that an extension called "Create Page" is already installed; however, I don't know how to use it; the page Special:CreatePage in my wiki do not exist.
• MediaWiki:newpagelayout in my wiki also leads nowhere.
• In my preferences/Editing tab, I have this:
  • Size of editing window (MonoBook layout only)
  • MonoBook layout only (Show preview before edit box, Show preview on first edit, Show edit toolbar)
  • Starting an edit (Show section edit links, Edit sections by right clicking on section titles, Edit pages on double click, Use a blank page as default for creating a new page, Disable "Create a new article" flow - THIS IN UNCHECKED, Disable Category module)
  • Widen the Source mode edit box to fill the entire screen, Mark all edits as "minor" by default, Prompt me if I leave a blank edit summary, Do not show link suggest in Source mode

The Layout builder is no longer supported, which is probably why you can't use it anymore. — Sovq 20:22, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
