Hi, I am Tuckyd a Bureaucrat at the gravity falls wiki, I would like to add special tags for users with rollback, administrative, and bureaucratic rights. Basically I don't want it to say administrator if someone is an administrator, I want it to say something different. Is there anyone that can help me? Tuckyd

In order to make it easier for someone to help you, can you please do the following?
  1. Post a link to your wiki. I can see you said it's called gravity falls wiki, but a link to it would be helpful.
  2. Post here the names of the different users who you would like to have rollback, admin and bureaucrat tags, as well as what the different tags should say.
I have a copy of the script that does what you want (and I'm sure other people do too), but without a link to your wiki, the names of the people and the names of the tags you want, we can't give you code specifically tailored to your needs. 20px_Rin_Tohsaka_Avatar.png Mathmagician ƒ(♫) 03:13 UTC, Tue, 21 August 2012
Wont the editing of a few MediaWiki pages do the same?  Ultimate Supreme talk · wiki I · wiki II  03:24, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
Like for example for bureacrat,

If you're referring to the tags in the masthead on User pages, these pages are what you need. Matthew2602 Wall 06:11, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

(Reset indent) The bureaucrat masthead message doesn't seem to be used though. Had to hardcode it on the sysop one on our wiki. - Tjcool007 (Talk) 11:50, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean?  Ultimate Supreme talk · wiki I · wiki II  12:20, August 25, 2012 (UTC)

We have a script up at the CoD Wiki which will do this for you. Keep in mind that it replaces user rights tags, so if you apply it to a user with a tag already, you'll need to add in their original tag too (you can have more than 1 tag). Hope this helps. --Callofduty4 (talk) 14:14, August 25, 2012 (UTC)

Just wondering, does it have to be Wikia.js, or can it also be Common.js? Why do some wikis have some content on Common.js, but other content on Wikia.js? SW8573WCE 14:28, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
MediaWiki:Wikia.js affects only the Oasis skin (the default skin). MediaWiki:Common.js affects all skins. So where you put the JavaScript depends on which skins you want it to affect. For example, the user masthead script that Callofduty4 linked is designed specifically for the Oasis skin. You could put it in Common.js, but it would probably make more sense to put it in Wikia.js. If you were to put it in Common.js, then for people who are using other skins, they'd have this piece of JavaScript running that doesn't do anything. Help:JavaScript and CSS Cheatsheet has more information about where you should put CSS or JavaScript. 20px_Rin_Tohsaka_Avatar.png Mathmagician ƒ(♫) 17:38 UTC, Sat, 25 August 2012
