Is it possible by using JavaScript to make a dropdown like for the edits button which does the same but for the talk page instead? If you don't understand, then please reply -- Sam Wang (talk) 09:43, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, no idea what you're talking about, since the talk page edit button does have a drop down that is largely similar to the edit button. At least on my wiki. (Check out, for example, tardis:Talk:TARDIS. The only real difference between the two buttons is that the default condition of clicking the button on a talk page is to add a new topic. On a namespace:0 (regular) page, it opens up the entire document for editing. But since that "edit" ability is an option in the talk page drop down, you haven't actually lost anything on the talk page.
If you're trying to make it so that the default condition of clicking the button on the talk page is to edit the whole page, that may well be a TOU violation. This would make a core function on the wiki behave in a way that's different to the rest of wikia, and Staff might frown on that.
However, to answer your question generally, it's possible to made a dropdown out of any button which doesn't already have a dropdown. As long as you've got an object you can append to, you can have a dropdown. czechout@fandom    fly tardis  <span style="">14:18: Sun 13 May 2012
