_Sigh_ please help, I have exhausted all my tactics to get this to work. This is what I want basically: a lyrics template that will list lyrics by line properly... that is of course, impossible to do with mediawiki it seems! D:

My lyrics page: http://siouxsie.wikia.com/wiki/Fall_from_Grace

And my template: http://siouxsie.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Lyrics

To be able to keep them italics I had to use the apostrophes as with all wiki pages. That's not much of an issue except it wouldn't work at all if it wasn't for the <poem></poem> not sure why. Unfortunately as you can see, I don't get <br> anywhere there. How can I send a message, that all lines need a <br> at the end?

I read these pages but not sure what to do:

Also added some lines to Wikia.css tried using <p> as well, not a difference that I could see...

Ok so how the heck do they do it in Lyric wiki? I am so frustrated o_0 http://lyrics.wikia.com/Siouxsie_And_The_Banshees%3AFall_from_Grace

Thanks --Liliana (my talk). 18:54, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

I'm not seeing the problem. On the page you linked the lyrics are displaying properly with the correct line breaks. No <br /> tag seems to be needed, unless I misunderstand your problem. -- RandomTime 19:04, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
I think I fixed it by then, RT. TK999 19:05, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

Randomtime take a look now and you will see what I meant :)
TK-999 you're amazing, I've been looking for how to do this for years, except I've been working around it on all my wikis. May I ask exactly what did it? Did the Wikia.css play a role or should I just erase the coding (if it is unnecessary)? Thank you so much!!! --Liliana (my talk). 21:34, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
Nope, I just set white-space: pre-wrap; on the style attribute to make it preserve space (see how). Plus, I removed some attributes unsupported in HTML 5. TK999 09:44, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
