Issue Shot

Oh dear.

On the wiki that I admin on, the Fairy Tail Fanon, a user's talk page just went haywire. Had no idea how to approach it besides simply purging the page, deleting all the info. Now it's back to normal seemingly. In the picture shown, it's pretty obvious it's a serious issue. It goes like that for the whole page almost. I have no idea what it is, some help would be awesome. Also, I'd like to know the ideal way of dealing with it next time. Please and thank you.Zicoihno (Talk to Me) 08:42, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

Firstly, I have now reverted the talk page to an older version, so it should look right now. If this ever happens again, you can always go back to an older revision via the page's history.
Now onto the issue itself - do you happen to use the visual editor? Occasionally, it is known for doing this.    ǝsʞpɐןǝ  (message wall)  08:56, 10 January 2013
Thank you very much. :) I had thought of doing that, but when I previewed reverting the most recent edit, it didn't even come up at all -- the preview, I mean. Also, even in source mode, it looked like a total mess.Zicoihno (Talk to Me) 09:00, January 10, 2013 (UTC)
Once the garbage code is on the page, it won't disappear if you switch to source. You needed to have gone back to an older revision.    ǝsʞpɐןǝ  (message wall)  09:04, 10 January 2013
The visual editor sucks, sometimes you see article pages blow up by 50kB. -- 06:12, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
