Adoption requests Advance Wars Wikia

What is your username? MasterKnight

Please link to the wiki here:

How many edits have you made on that wiki? As of posting, 1226.

How many days/months have you been editing there? Nearly 4 years

On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? TheElijah, December 17, 2010

Any other information: Let's check the guidelines as usual.

Is the wiki inactive? Inactive indeed. No sustained editing by other users. If there are other users please start a blog post or other public discussion of new leadership before making your request and allow users at least a week to respond. Unless you count unregistered users. Admins have been inactive for 60 days or more They haven't done anything on the AW Wikia, that's for sure.

Are you eligible to adopt? You have not founded, adopted, or been given admin access on another wiki in the last 60 days Last Wikia that happened with would have been the Battalion Wars Wikia, and that was in mid-December. You have not been blocked on another Wikia project Not as far as I'm aware. There's only one where I could possibly have been blocked, and if that's the case, I have a good idea it has NOTHING to do with my conduct on Wikia, just a petty admin who thinks an admittedly harsh, angry comment I made elsewhere reflects what I would actually do despite me being frustrated in general.

Are you contributing to the wiki's content? You have edited on the wiki for at least a week (the more the better) Ayup. You have created at least one new page (the more the better) Several, here's one example: You are currently editing the wiki What do you think?

Are you building the community? You make an effort to talk to other users -- you've left friendly and encouraging messages on user talk pages and responded to questions on article talk pages, forums, or blogs. Will do that, I just have to keep harassment problems under control. You keep the wiki looking well-tended and up to date -- update news sections, add new pictures and videos related to the topic, etc. I'm up for it, and here's something useful I did to one page recently:

So let me know what you think, okay? MasterKnight (talk) 21:23, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

Addendum: What I would prefer is Bureaucrat rights. I was previously fine with Rollback, but to be honest, the Advance Wars communities have some characters who crack jokes like singing songs mocking lust-induced murder victims, and something should be done to keep them under control. Trust me: I'm absolutely NOT on the side of the creator of that topic. He already takes the competitive player's ideas to an unwelcome extreme, even without that line-crossing song. I'm not going to claim I'm an absolute saint at all about this myself, but I'd be up for checking problems like that, at the very least. MasterKnight (talk) 21:35, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

Another addendum: I just realized another Wikia I could be blocked from, but it would have been by admins being sadistic enough to vandalize my talk page discussion. Not only that, but said talk page discussion even occurred because of a revert of an edit that removed stuff unnecessarily. I'm guilty of the Deadly Sin of Sloth in this issue, but wikis would fix the problems with my revert easily. It's unlikely the block was dealt because the issue happened a while back, but I never know. Of course, if it was dealt NOW, well, I haven't made an edit on that Wikia for a while because of the sadism, so with the admins' track record, they can be held responsible if I had been blocked. Hi. Your contributions look good, and thank you for your detailed request. You aren't blocked on any wikis at the moment as it happens. I've given you admin and bureaucrat rights. Good luck with the wiki! -- Wendy (talk)@fandom 03:04, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. It will help curb harassment by the Advance Wars communities too. And by the way, I decided to report the abuse I mentioned in the 2nd addendum. With any luck, the involved abusive users will get their lumps. The ironic thing is that I was even bothering to help out the site's users too, when the users had given me problems in the past. I was forgiving then, but after what they did, they had their second chance. MasterKnight (talk) 03:58, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
