How many edits have you made on that wiki? * 50+

How many days/months have you been editing there? * Only for a short amount of time, though I've been a member since early 2011.

On the Special Pages -> Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? Me, a few days ago, but only for a small edit.  Before that? - more than a year...

Any other information:  Baldur's Gate has long been a troubled area, mainly due to the founder creating it, making 5 edits, and then leaving it - no bureaucrats or admins.  I convinced a wikia staff member to make me an admin nearly a year ago, but with no support and a busy life, I unfortunately found that I could not seriously commit.  During my inactivity, another user (Thomaslove92) became enamored with the BGWikia, but found it hard to do much without any authority, so he made his own testing grounds - the baldursgategame.wikia.com. I have recently come back and spoken with him, and he has agreed to help me merge the two wikias back into the original, but without leadership or central authority, this will be very hard.  Even though I'm already an admin, I humbly request being made a bureaucrat in order to form a proper and workable hierarchy.  * My lackluster editing not withstanding, I have held back making any edits until the merge is complete...and we have not started the merge, due to lacking a bureaucrat.  For a slightly more convincing resume, I invite you to the Deus Ex wikia where I have made 250 edits in less than a month.

1st alternative:  Make Thomaslove92 a bureaucrat.  Being the founder and primary editor of the secondary manifestation, he has made nearly 3000 edits over the past year on his own wikia, and would surely be a worthy bureaucrat on the original.

2nd alternative:  The primary concern is the url - baldursgate.wikia.com being the cleaner of the two versions is prefered, despite the other (baldursgategame. _ ) being more developed.  If it is possible to completey delete the original and change the secondary to the originals url, that would essentially solve our predicament.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can grant us in this matter.  Dsurian 22:43, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

You don't need bureaucrat rights for anything but giving other users rights, so they don't seem to apply in this case.
We can easily close the current baldursgate.wikia.com and reassign the URL to the other as part of the merge. What you should do now is transfer any content from baldursgate onto baldursgategame that is not on the latter already. It is best to use Special:Import/Export so the page histories and attributions are preserved. The admin on baldursgategame will have to do the import there.
Make sure you have discussed the change somewhere that we can see (blog, talk page, forum, etc), and that any users on baludrsgate are aware of it.
Then send a request to Special:Contact asking for baldursgate to be closed and the URL re-assigned as the primary URL on the current baldursgategame.
Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with the combined wiki! -- Wendy (talk) 00:19, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Wasn't 100% sure the 2nd alternative was even possible, in which case, it seems a bit ridiculous for me being the only admin on a wiki with no bureaucrats - no way to recruit others, or pass the torch, etc.  But thanks for the valuable input, and we'll get to work on what you suggested.  As I've said, everyone is on board in the second wikia, as I've been talking with the founder about it.  As far as the original...well, there hardly isn't any activity there anyways, but I did leave a message on the most dedicated users talk page, despite their ~3 month inactivity.  So, hopefully this won't come as a surprise to anyone.  Thanks for your time...  Dsurian 04:56, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
