Adoption requests Custom BIONICLE Skin Testing Wiki

What is your username? - BobTheDoctor27, Bureaucrat of Custom BIONICLE Wiki

Please link to the wiki here: - Custom BIONICLE Skin Testing Wiki

How many edits have you made on that wiki? - 60+

How many days/months have you been editing there? - See below

On the Special Pages → Special:ListAdmins when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? - Jman98/Acapnia on August 11th 2014 (account has been both renamed and/or globally deactivated). Since I posted this request he has logged on to relinquish his sysop powers so I guess there is no longer any form of administration on-site.

Any other information: - I'm glad you asked...

I am one of two bureaucrats on the Custom BIONICLE Wiki, which was evidently the parent entity of this sub-wiki until 2014. Before then, the domain that I am applying to adopt was utilized by a previous administrator to test skins and use as a general sandbox without affecting the main wiki (as the title would suggest). He was very cagey about giving any administrative privileges out at the time and, in 2014, he quit the community on rather bad terms, forgetting or consciously refusing to promote another CBW admin to take over our Skin Testing wiki. Thus, this wiki was lost to the sands of time as its founder cut all ties with the Custom BIONICLE brand and promptly jumped ship, deleting his userpages and pursuing ventures elsewhere. Earlier today, however, I stumbled across an old talk page message that had survived his deletion spree and this abandoned wiki has been found once more!

Now, there is something of a complication in that I haven't presently been on the wiki long enough to meet the initial requirements for adoption. Since the site is a skin-testing wiki, there's no recent changes traffic at all and there's honestly not a lot that I can do to produce a convincing edit count with no userbase to groom as the Adoption directory suggests. So I have spent my time writing up a site policy, including Content Guidelines and a Layout Guide, though this has been difficult since the purpose of the wiki is not to support articles or a community. It demands only a few templates, most of which the ex-CBW admin has already made. Not sure what I can really add beyond continuing his good work, remedying any redlinks, and further experimenting with what has essentially always been a sandbox version of the wiki I effectively already run.

Again, it's called the Custom BIONICLE Skin Testing Wiki and I represent Custom BIONICLE Wiki, a site that I have amassed just over 16,000 edits on and am one of two bureaucrats. On the parent wiki I definitely meet the criteria and the wiki I am applying to adopt is for all intents and purposes an extension of that wiki. My contributions on-site can be viewed here or on the site's recent changes.

So what d'ya say? Can Custom BIONICLE Skin Testing Wiki come visit Custom BIONICLE Wiki on weekends?

Update: I have since made 60+ edits over the past couple of days and am still very keen on returning CBW's intellectual property to the main wiki. Please make sure to read the entirety of my statement above.

Unofficial response (Please wait for an official response by Fandom Staff):

You'll need to actually be editing on the wiki before you can adopt the wiki. I don't know what you mean that all of the pages are protected because they're not. Only a couple things. And even if they were, you can still create pages to add content to, so make sure you edit at least once a day before Staff review this. Bit difficult since the purpose of the wiki is exclusively for skin design, which I can't do without administrative privileges on-site, but alright. I'll see what templates I can import. Thanks, I guess. -- BobTheDoctor27
