Adoption requests Dungeon Defenders Eternity Wiki

What is your username? My username: TheSpirit_DD (Other qualified candidates: Tyru_heru)

Please link to the wiki here:

How many edits have you made on that wiki? Its a pretty new wiki so yeah we are just starting out and would like to do much more. For me that would be 193 Edits. (For Tyru that would be 177 Edits.)

How many days/months have you been editing there? For me that would be since 18/08/2014. I only recently started working on the wiki, since I only recently discovered that it existed. Tough I am in it for the long run. (For Tyru 24/07/2014.)

On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? We pretty much are the only people curently working on the wikia page. Last edit was me, but we currently both work daily to expand the wikia.

Any other information: Hi TheSpirit_DD here,

I wanted to say, I dont particularly have to be the leader of the wiki, we just need to have admins to get the wiki to where it needs to be. Tough a leader that is dedicated and helps out would be appreciated. I think Tyru and I are at the moment the only people that qualify.

Currently the leader has been inactive on the wiki since creation of the wiki page, we also had no succes in trying to contact him. If he however wants to stay the leader we will by all means help him with everything we can.

If its to soon to adopt this wiki I can understand that, a solution might be to promote us admin, so we can atleast get some more work done. Till we can contact the founder and learn of his intentions.

Thanks for your time.

You have to discuss the leadership with Tyru heru. Decide who gets it (or both), and the adoption can go ahead. --Tupka217 19:03, August 20, 2014 (UTC)

Hi, The Spirit DD. According to his contributions, Ryansalt last edited on 24th July of 2014, which makes this wiki ineligible as admins have not been inactive for the 60 days that are required. I understand he made one edit and other than that has not shown any activity within the last weeks, but one of the most important guidelines is that admins must be inactive. In case I am wrong, you should follow Tupka 217´s advice and also don´t forget to edit for the one week that is required. Good Luck. (The Great Lord David (talk) 19:19, August 20, 2014 (UTC))

Extra Information

Hi, thanks for the quick responses. I will contact Tyru as soon as he gets online. And will post the result here.

I'm not sure you understand so let me clarify, Ryansalt's "edit" was the creation of wiki and typing 2 sentences on the homepage. After this there hasn't been anny activity on his part. I did read the info page about adoption requests, however it clearly states that these are guidelines. I know guidelines should be followed, however guidelines arent mandatory or they would be called rules.

So I decided to give it a try annyway, with the good of the wiki in mind and hope on your approval. If you decide to follow this guideline I understand, but that means we would have to wait another 30 days, in wich case a lot of work that could have been done is then wasted. And all this because the current founder was the "first" to request a wiki on this game and not someone who actually wants to contribute to the wiki.

I think you should really reconsider not following some of the guidelines for this particular case. Since 30 days is a lot of time that can be invested in the wiki, making it more complete, more aesthetic, and most of all more popular, wich curently isnt the case.

Thanks for your time. TheSpirit_DD

Technically, you can't adopt a wiki if it's younger than 60 days. However, by the time staff sees this, that period will probably have been passed. And if it's 58 days, that's not a disaster. --Tupka217 21:28, August 20, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I realize the founder has not done any othe edits but the first edit he made still makes him active in the last 60 days. For the guidelines, all users can make adoptions without following them but for a request to be accepted you actually have to eligible in all of them, so they are like rules and you can´t simply bypass some of them. Hopefully, it will be just as Tupka says. (The Great Lord David (talk) 21:55, August 20, 2014 (UTC))

I talked with Tyru_heru, he's more interested in just being an admin, if its possible to make both of us founder like Tupka suggested then I think that would be the best option. If this however isnt possible then he's fine with me adopting the wiki and just becoming an admin.

I guess the only thing left, is to see wether the current founder will stay inactive for 30 more days.

Thanks for your help. TheSpirit_DD

Hi. Well, even when you adopt a wiki you don´t become the founder, the founder is always the person who created the wiki, all you gain is admin and bureaucrat rights. Answering your question, only one person can adopt the wiki but if both of you want both admin and bureaucrat rights, if this adoption is accepted and you are granted those rights by Staff, you can just promote him as well with the new status you have been granted. Good Luck. (The Great Lord David (talk) 20:35, August 21, 2014 (UTC))

Hello. I see you founded your own wikia instead of waiting to adopt this one. Good luck with it! -- Wendy (talk@fandom 04:56, September 2, 2014 (UTC)
