Adoption requests Landmark Wikia

How many edits have you made on that wiki? Over 5,000. I'm the top editor there and unofficially adopted it back in 2014 because it was so out of date. The game community is facing the same level of out-of-date info now and having an active admin may tip the balance to get more players on board to help edit vs. just being bummed that the wikia is out of date.

How many days/months have you been editing there? I've been working on it for approximately 2 years. I only stepped away for a time when we had few updates to the game (it was still in closed beta until this month) and I had created my own website. Long story short about my site: a data transfer was bungled by someone helping me by hosting it; I haven't recreated it yet and may just retire it and stick with this wiki.

On the Special Pages → Special:ListAdmins when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? The last admin edits Dexella on June 17, 2016.

I think the only person still on the admin list above that still works for the company is (Dexella (aka Colette), who you may be able to reach via Twitter. Dexella is wonderful, but I suspect she has 10x the work now that the company went from SOE (Sony's old name for the PC division) to a small studio, so I very much doubt she has the time to edit there. Contacting Emily "Domino" Taylor @pentapod via Twitter may be even better, as she is definitely involved in Landmark as a developer.

Any other information: The company changed hands when Sony sold them off Columbus Nova and they became Daybreak Games. Numerous people left the company just before and immediately after the sale. At one point the company named the Curse (Gamepedia) wiki the "official wiki," but they have since dropped that as an official connection. I mention these changes as it may be why the old admins vanished.

Within the active community on the official game forums, a discussion about which wiki (this or Curse) was recently brought to my attention. I'm Arita over there. So far only 2 have come over from that thread (Zaxzia and Sakshale) and I'm not sure the others will even know what it would mean for me to be an admin here, but I did mention it yesterday.

I made a blog post on the wiki, but it's still fairly new. If you look at the wiki's overall edit history, only one other member seems truly committed (so far) to getting things updated, so I also asked her directly if she had any objections to me being an admin on her wall. You can read our exchange here: Exchange.

My apologies if the request seems premature, but once it came up on the game's official forums, I thought it best to start this process in the hopes of drawing community interest to this wiki over the Curse wiki. Now...back to editing that wiki...

Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)
To the Wikia staff,
We would like to turn this page over to the players who are currently our active editors. The primary page admin/bueracrat (Yaviey) is no longer with our company, and I have moved on to a different project. We would like you to grant this request to allow them to "adopt" the page and turn it back into a community site.
I hope this can quickly be arranged and resolved!

Hello. Thanks for all the links. I've given you admin and bureaucrat rights. Good luck with the wiki! -- Wendy (talk@fandom 06:51, June 25, 2016 (UTC)
