What is your username? Kassie Macabre

Please link to the wiki here: http://mariokartwii.wikia.com/wiki/Mario_Kart_Wii_Wiki

How many edits have you made on that wiki? 13,401

How many days/months have you been editing there? about 8 months

On the Special Pages → Special:ListAdmins when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? me, January 4th

Any other information: There are six other admins, some active, some semi- active. I am an admin and buercrat, I just wanted to officially own it. I am planning to upgrade the main articles, then continue making a page for every Mario character.

I'm pretty sure you can't adopt a wiki if you're already a bureaucrat.

As Lani said, you have already got all the rights. Besides, nobody can own a wikia: admins and bureaucrats have just some additional powers on it. -- Lord Ghiraim
Yeah, but the creator, Techjar, left a long time ago and I just wanted to officially own it. Is there any other way I can do that?

@Lord Ghiraim Kassie's right about the ownership of the wikia, Techjar possessed Mario Kart Wii wikia as he still has the rights and the founder tag in place. @Kassie, we all agree that you have the rights with you. If you want staff to give the wikia to you and take his ownership away, use contact.--Muzzarino 05:15, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

You already have bureaucrat rights, so I do believe posting this adoption request is not necessary at all. Just go ahead and do whatever you want to improve the wiki - it is not possible to own the wiki or anything nor there is any need for this to do so. Wrong, a founder has the right to anything they want on their wikia that's in the TOU. If it's theirs, then they get to make and enforce their policies and admins who aren't founders or owners (that is the person with most contribs and has been the longest) have to abide by the wikia's policies they put there. They also can apply their own theme and if so, they could either allow someone to do it or not just like with the blocking and stuff. You got the other stuff correct on the wikia, adoption and his/her status though.--Muzzarino 05:20, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

You cannot own a wiki. The community works with it, but you cant own it. {{SUBST:User:Utkar22/Sig|05:30,6-Jan-2016}} 05:30, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Nobody owns a wiki. Not even the founder. {{SUBST:User:Utkar22/Sig|06:05,6-Jan-2016}} 06:05, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

That has got to change, because they can do what they want with the rights. For all you who are staff, do not agree with his comments on ownership besides mine.--Muzzarino 06:13, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

You can always request staffs to remove the rights of inactive admins/bureaucrats. If your community has a lot of users, you can open a forum about it for discussion. Lelouch Di Britannia Talk Page 08:18, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

That depends if the wikia allows it. It's up to the bureaucrats and owners to decide the duration of inactive admins. If they don't, then we have to accept their policy disallowing community consenses against rights.--Muzzarino 08:27, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

ok first off this is a waste of a request since you already have bcrat rights, staff can't give you the "founder" tag so basically wendy's going to close this. left you same basic message on wall. --Nerfmaster8 (talk) 08:35, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

I agree, the user already has bureaucrat rights but it wants to possess the wikia. The way for that to happen is the original owner who's lacking interest in his/her own wikia is for the person to contact the staff and request removal of that owner and the contemporary bureaucrat with lots of edits to take ownership of the wikia. When she views this, it'll be closed.--Muzzarino 08:42, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

@Everybody This is a phrase from Help:Founders:"A "founder" is someone who created a wikia. Founders do not have any special authorities on a wikia, and they do not own the wikia that they founded. -- Lord Ghiraim

That founder phrase has got to change, because they need to make it so the community no longer owns it and founders will no longer have their rights removed for the blocking actions and stuff.--Muzzarino 18:05, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for responding, everyone. Since his admin rights have been taken away, I don't think that he has to be removed as the creator. I guess I'll be ok with not adopting the Mario Kart Wii Wiki if there is no way for me to be the official owner. —This unsigned comment is by Kassie Macabre (wallcontribs) 21:39, January 6, 2016 (UTC).
