Adoption requests Mario Wiki

What is your username? I'maLuigi

Please link to the wiki here:

How many edits have you made on that wiki? 11 (as of 8/23/13)

How many days/months have you been editing there? A few days

On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? Wattz2000 on June 19, 2013

Any other information: With such a big name like Mario I would like to turn this wiki into one that really shows off some of Wikia's new features along with giving this mascot the respect he deserves. I'maLuigi (talk) 16:03, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)
"No sustained editing by other users. If there are other users please start a blog post or other public discussion of new leadership before making your request and allow users at least a week to respond." is an adoption guideline (read the full list at Adoption:Requests). I'm afraid your request is very likely to be accepted without a large community consensus on the matter... If you want to adopt the wiki, feel free to create a blog post or post on the forum about the leadership of the wiki. Thisismyrofl (talk) 06:20, August 24, 2013 (UTC)
I did make a blog post about it.. I'maLuigi (talk) 00:14, August 25, 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for creating the blog. Since it's only been a few days, and the one comment there was unsure as to whether you should be an admin, I've put this request on hold for now. Please let this blog continue for the next few days, and we'll check back on this request next week. Thanks! - Brandon Rhea@fandom(talk) 18:43, August 27, 2013 (UTC)

I've gotten a vote from someone else supporting me and the guy who was unsure is now on board with me becoming admin. It's been more then a week and I would like a responce. I'maLuigi (talk) 20:38, September 6, 2013 (UTC)

Um...I never said I was on board with you. You're edits are still minor and you created a page that was basically a stub. I mean with all of those "Coming Soon" sections as seen here. You also suppose to italicize the games whenever you add them. Honestly, if you don't have the time to create a full page, then how will you have the time to manage as an admin? I've been on there for almost year already so I know all the ins and outs. I don't think you will do all that well to be honest. You didn't even know what category to use for that page. We'll see what Brandon Rhea says but from my view, I don't think so. {{SUBST:User:ZeoSpark/Sig|23:14,9/6/2013}}

I'm sorry I thought that you where coming around to the idea from your comments. I've created more then just that one page and I have been telling you that but you still seem to ingore it. I have created pages before (full pages not just stubs) on that wiki and I am currently working on the E3 page but I have to go look up every single E3, find out when it happened, if anything changed from the last E3 in location, size, etc and find out what mario games where shown or announced. It can't just be done asap. Also there is no proper tag for it so I picked events because E3 is an event and while it might not fit under the category for events because it is for events in the timeline, there was no where else to put it and I couldn't think of any other category to list E3 under besides it being an event. So sorry for the misunderstading about you being on board, I have created more then just that page (pages that are full pages), I am working on the E3 page, and I have been admin before and I do have the time to manage wiki's or else I wouldn't try to adopt it. Plenty of people want to adopt/become admins on wiki's even though they don't have the proper time or drive. On my wiki, which I adopted half a year ago, all the other admins drop off the face of the earth, or edit like twice a month- at best. As admin of my wiki, I try to atleast make 50 edits a week, and create 10 pages a month. It's about dedication and being the best you can there. I'm ranked #2 and racked up over 2500 worth of badge points (I'm only second running to the creator, who has been MIA since last Feburary). So yes, Mario is a big name and if you aren't going to prove dedication by high contributions, the adoption of the wiki will be unsuccessful. I say this not to be mean, but from personal experience, as I was declined when trying to adopt The Vandal Hearts Wiki but succesful in adopting The Dark Tower Wiki. Well, the other thing is that you created a page without using an infobox. See how I created the Earthwake page and used the boss infobox and used the "Bosses in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team" category? That's what I like to see. I just want to see if you can handle using infoboxes and using the correct categories. If it's a boss that also appears as one of the main characters in the game, say Antasma in Mario & Luigi Dream Team, you can use the Characters infobox. Also, not calling you a liar or anything, but I don't see other pages you've edited on your profile and just anyone can say that they are admins on other wikis and have done this many edits. I mean, sure someone else can add on the infobox if you don't know how to use one but I'm for that if you can add one.

Update. I just got word from someone else that you're indeed a new user. I don't know you're using a different username but if you're really a new user, then what you said in the past was pretty false and I believe you're not ready to adopt this wiki (espically being how popular Mario is). I thought you were pretty hesitant when it comes to creating pages using infoboxes...{{SUBST:User:ZeoSpark/Sig|23:50,9/8/2013}}

Hi. It appears that the community does not generally support your request to be an admin, so I am going to close this adoption request. When the community has chosen a new admin together that person can create a new one. -- Wendy (talk)@fandom 03:46, September 9, 2013 (UTC)
