Any other information: This is a site I've known years longer than my contributions would show. I've only recently had the opportunity to help grow this site as much as possible, but that's rather difficult with a single bureaucrat and not a single administrator to speak of.
Since joining, I've gone out a purchased SEVERAL of the games' accompanying guidebooks and art books in their original language, the game itself in Japanese, and I've even gone so far as to write out set guidelines for our articles and completely revamp our Manual of Style, which now awaits a final decision in my Sandbox.
Even behind the scenes, I'm always working on something. I have two translation projects in the works, two more definitive guides that are close to being released--one for Japanese clothing, weapons, and accessories, the other for advice pertaining to screenshots, a master timeline, interactive map, and plans for attracting more members by using what I've always thought of forums being for. Part of which includes a total overhaul of the main page to become more mobile friendly, user centered, and more visually appealing than it is now.
Even now, I'm reaching out to you via mobile while I have no access to my usual setup. I check on this site multiple times daily and I purposely MAKE time to do so between school and two jobs. Now, I do understand the recent edits of an admin play a large role in determining the qualifications of an adopter, with this, I have my reasonings too.
If one takes a look at the quality of edits our current bureaucrat has made recently, it's only been minor fixes to often larger edits. That's always felt like more of a Content Mod's job than that of the sole bureaucrat. However, I understand this to be due to a lacking ability to make contributing edits more than anything else. Regardless, this site is in dire need of an active anything, and I am more than up to the challenge. I understand this very well, but I still feel having an admin, not even a new bureaucrat, would be more than beneficial to this community. Many of the things I'd like to be able to bring to this site, I'm unable to either because I lack the rights or the user with them does not respond, not even fast enough but sometimes at all.
The last three messages on his Talk page are all ones I've sent. Some have not needed replies, but others I've never really been given much of a yes or no for, especially related to things if a more internal nature like policies and general guidelines. Even outside of that, it can be days or even weeks before I see any sort of activity at all from him. I know it's because he's busy, but we need more than ever active staff. That's why all of our pages are protected, why we lack a community. When I first arrived, I was worried the site was dead, given how so many edits had been made long past the date the counter continued to keep track of them. I've found pockets where our community hides, and I want to be able to draw them in.
Even if adopting this Wiki isn't possible, I'd still greatly appreciate consideration for administrative rights. There's so much potential here, and I'd hate to see it go to waste.Chaujiu (talk) 02:18, October 17, 2016 (UTC)
