How many edits have you made on that wiki? I have edited the whole home page to give the wiki a 'whole new look' but cannot do anything further (as far as customisation goes) because I an not an admin.
How many days/months have you been editing there? Not long because the wiki at first didn't seem very intriguing until I decided to design for it.

- Hi. You did a nice job on the main page, but in order to adopt the wiki you would need to be contributing regularly to the wiki (every day or other day) for at least a week and also have created at least one new page.
