Adoption requests Skyrim Wyrmstooth Wiki

What is your username? SuperSajuuk

Please link to the wiki here: w:c:skyrimwyrmstooth

How many edits have you made on that wiki? 9 edits

How many days/months have you been editing there? I started editing on 9th January 2014, then took a break, but came back to the wiki just recently

On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? Only the founder last edited (there are no additional sysops on this wiki), which was on 17th August 2014

Any other information: I would give a list of contributions, but the vast majority of articles that need improvement have been protected so only the founder can edit them. This makes it very difficult to contribute, especially as the founder's activity is patch and he seems to be treating the wiki like it is a personal project. As a result of the over-protection of articles, there are almost no editors, except the odd anon contributor. Thanks! --SuperSajuuk Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 07:02, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

Hi! You must be actively editing (making new pages, fixing up articles, adding content, building the wiki) for 1 solid week in order to be eligible to adopt the wiki. Try to make at least an edit every day or two. If you keep editing while you wait for this request to be processed, (which can take from 7-10 days), you'll be all set. Also, you might want to leave the anon a message stating your plans to adopt. Good luck! :) Shyguy-emoticon.gifJoey (talk)
Making new pages is impossible, as the wiki has covered everything. As I stated, the articles that need fixing cannot be fixed because: a) There are no policies on how articles should be written on the wiki so there's no real structure, and b) a vast majority of the articles in need of fixing have been sysop locked, so cannot be edited by anyone at all. This adoption request is really because I can't do a thing to improve said wiki and the wiki's founder (who is the only sysop) is mostly inactive and not fixing up the pages himself, it's one of those cases where it needs someone to sort these problems out and expecting the wiki's lone crat to do anything seems unlikely. --SuperSajuuk Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 12:55, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

Well, you can create policy pages, as you said there aren't any currently. You can also create templates, or upload images, etc... :) Shyguy-emoticon.gifJoey (talk)
Since it's not really my own wiki, I don't want to go around creating policy pages or templates in case the founder decides to remove them. I don't like to go around making policies for wiki's which I don't manage myself ;) --SuperSajuuk Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 13:14, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

Heh, fair point. ;) Well, then just try to edit where you can, though, I'm sure Staff will understand your situation. Shyguy-emoticon.gifJoey (talk)

Hi, SuperSajuuk. I took a look at the wiki and found a page that you might be able to create. As you can see here, there is a dead end link to the page Ja'Shavi-Dar. Why don´t you try creating that page? I mean Joseph is probably correct that Staff will understand your situation but instead of wondering if they will or not, you can create this page and continue to contribute to the wiki´s content. I hope this helps. (The Great Lord David (talk) 17:41, October 7, 2014 (UTC))
Not a bad find, but I don't have that modification installed (I removed Steam) so wouldn't be able to create anything. That wiki requires me to have the mod installed to contribute and I do plan on getting it back on my system soon, but can't contribute much right now though. --SuperSajuuk Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 17:54, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

Alright. Well then, I wish you good luck with the adoption. Merrystar will answer this request between 14th and 17th October. (The Great Lord David (talk) 18:31, October 7, 2014 (UTC))

Hello. Fully protected wikias are against our terms of use; if you see one like this again please report it to staff so we can unprotect it.
That said, while I appreciate that contributing to the wikia is difficult when it is locked, I cannot do an adoption when you have not ever edited content there.
I've unlocked all the pages, so please start editing and create at least one new page (filling in the blank Wyrmstooth page will work). Let me know on my wall after you have been editing for a week and I will check back again. If you do not have a lot to contribute right now as you suggest above, then the best choice will be to ask again when you do have more time and more to contribute. -- Wendy (talk@fandom 04:34, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Wendy, I'll start contributing what I can to the wiki. In the case that the founder comes back online and protects all the articles again, or that I've edited for a straight week, I'll send you a wall post about the wikia. I'll try to contribute this whole week and hopefully improve the wiki. Thanks, again! :) --SuperSajuuk Talk Page | Tabber Code | Channel 08:48, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
