Any other information: Wikia removed our Bureaucrats from rights due to problems with administration at the time. When I brought it up with Wikia Staff that we could probably have those rights back, the response] suggested that an active admin adopt the wiki.

I brought this response to the attention of Admin William Leonard. William created a blog post where he explained the situation. The blog ends with a poll asking the community if the wiki should be adopted. The result is (as of now) 18 Support, 7 Oppose.

William said he would adopt the wiki on March 1st. It's currently March 3rd and he hasn't done it yet, so I'm doing it for him. The following users qualify for bureaucrat:

Did you remind William about it before making this, since you're not an admin? If not, you should, as well as the other active admins. Ponyo Fan seems to agree, but you'll need to get MrScience12 and RamDarre's opinions on that blog post of whether or not they agree to it, and if they would like to be promoted as well. Not sure if you're also seeking a promotion to admin as well, which all of the active admins need to vote on, but good luck!--Annabeth and Percy~The present is our future past, we've gotta make this moment last right now. 01:15, March 4, 2016 (UTC)
"Did you remind William about it before making this, since you're not an admin?" I informed William beforehand. He did not respond.
"Ponyo Fan seems to agree, but you'll need to get MrScience12 and RamDarre's opinions on that blog post" MrScience12 started a dicussion on the forum and has stated he does not want b-Creat rights. With RamDarre, I left a message on his talk page, but he is listed as inactive.
"Not sure if you're also seeking a promotion to admin as well, which all of the active admins need to vote on" Not with this adoption request.--Alan ~ Tyce

Hey. Which of you guys want to adopt this wiki? The blog you linked by William Leonard doesn't say anything about this adoption. Much less does it even clarify who is adopting the wiki. In order to adopt the wiki, someone will need to start a blog/forum about adopting it to the community. There are currently 5 active admins within the last 60 days that edited. If you (Alan ~ Tyce) are being assigned to adopt the wiki, you will need to start that discussion on the community about adopting with the consent from the active admins (or at least most of them). If you already created one beforehand, please link it here for Staff. --Icier 04:47, March 14, 2016 (UTC)
"Hey." Hello.
"Which of you guys want to adopt this wiki? The blog you linked by William Leonard doesn't say anything about this adoption. Much less does it even clarify who is adopting the wiki." I don't know. I'd sayw William. The wiki isn't really being adopted in the traditional sense, We're just restoring b-Creat rights.
"If you (Alan ~ Tyce) are being assigned to adopt the wiki, you will need to start that discussion on the community about adopting with the consent from the active admins (or at least most of them)" 1. I'm not assigned to adopt it. 2. I have consent from 3. Re: The other two, I left a message on RamDarre's talk page. He is yet to respond. I don't know about SBCA. I think The Imperial Ghost has his Skype, so I'll have to ask him. - Check out News Zone! (talk)

Alright... so William will be adopting the wiki correct? I'm trying to understand this correctly so Staff have an easier time to review this when the time comes. If William is wanting to adopt the wiki then they will need a formal discussion/blog about adopting the wiki for bureaucratic rights, that needs to be up for at least a week. As long as the majority of admins/community agree with William adopting, then that will be terrific. Hopefully I understood all that correctly. --Icier 03:48, March 15, 2016 (UTC)
"Alright... so William will be adopting the wiki correct?" I think so.
"If William is wanting to adopt the wiki then they will need a formal discussion/blog about adopting the wiki for bureaucratic rights, that needs to be up for at least a week." Check paragraph 4 and 5 again. William specifically mentions that he will adopt the wiki for b-crat rights. The blog has been up since February 10th, which was some time ago. I don't see how that doesn't work as the blog you described.
"As long as the majority of admins/community agree with William adopting, then that will be terrific." Majority consensus for William's blog linked above was Support. The community votes 19 Support, 9 Oppose. Majority consensus is go ahead adopt the wiki.
"Hopefully I understood all that correctly." I don't know if I understand this correctly. We're just trying to get b-crats back and Wikia staff told us to use this form. --Check out News Zone! (talk) 22:31, March 15, 2016 (UTC)
Unofficial response (Please wait for an official response by Fandom Staff):

The blog has no mention of William making an adoption request. It only has a poll of "should the wiki be adopted" (which polls aren't accepted as consensus anyway by Staff). If you guys want this to flow easily when Staff review then William will need to announce he is pursuing bureaucratic rights. Adoptions are typically one user gaining rights on a wiki. I think you're expecting everyone to gain bureaucratic rights because the blog has a poll of "should the wiki be adopted". If you want all the admins to gain bureaucratic rights then Staff need to see all the admins agreeing to it in a "forum/blog" about adopting along with community consensus. Or else let William adopt alone with the admins/community supporting them, and they can promote the other admins themselves (which would be easier in my opinion). --Icier 22:40, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

"which polls aren't accepted as consensus anyway by Staff" Oh. Most of the staff accepted outside of polls, but no one else expressed an opinion besides the poll.
"Or else let William adopt alone with the admins/community supporting them, and they can promote the other admins themselves (which would be easier in my opinion)" That's what I'm hoping for. William is sprasly active, so I really hope they give b-crat rights to Ponyo Fan too, since they are somewhat active.
Can you tell me if I should continue pursuing the adoption as is or ask staff to cancel. I honestly don't know anymore. --Alan! (talk) 01:14, March 16, 2016 (UTC)
Unofficial response (Please wait for an official response by Fandom Staff):
Yeah polls aren't accepted sadly by Staff. But alright, I agree it will be easier for William to adopt. I would continue pursuing, I mean it looks like no one objected to adoption, so if William can announce he is adopting the wiki that will be terrific. It's just the blog by him only ask "should the wiki be adopted", and that isn't saying "he is" adopting it. If he can do that then everything will be set. --Icier 01:37, March 16, 2016 (UTC)
I'll try and see if I can arrange that. --*clicks tongue* noice (talk) 21:31, March 16, 2016 (UTC)
Ok. I've given William bureaucrat rights. Have fun choosing new admins! -- Wendy (talk 14:59, March 18, 2016 (UTC)
