What is your username? AriandeLover:D
Please link to the wiki here:
How many edits have you made on that wiki? 636 edits
How many days/months have you been editing there? For a year and three months
On the Special Pages → Special:ListAdmins when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? July 22nd ArianaGrandeForever
Any other information: I love this wikia and would absolutely commit to it as an admin.
It doesn't have to be a lot of edits each day, it is just the *frequency* of the edits that Staff needs to see, to show your investment and commitment to the wiki. Happy editing! Joey (talk)
- Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)Hey, there is one admin who has edited recently. In order to adopt, all admins must be inactive for at least two months. They last made an edit on March 7, 2015, so you can either kindly ask them for admin rights, or you can wait out another month if they don't get on. Ripto (talk) 23:03, April 6, 2015 (UTC)\
- Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)That user cannot promote, only being an admin, and not possessing the ability the promote others to that position.
Since they cannot promote, the admin can either 1 - endorse this request, or 2 - make a request of their own.Joey (talk)
What if the admins ignore asking for admin rights? I asked ArianaGrandeForever and ArietteFans (both are admins) approximately seven months ago if I can become an admin and neither one answered back when they were, in fact, active users. Also, many other users after me asked too if they can be an admin (as seen on ArianaGrandeForever's message wall) and she did not reply back. I've been waiting really long to become an admin and I thought that if maybe I stop asking and let them see how much effort I put into the Dork Diaries Wiki and make me become an admin, but it seems that the admin's are oblivious to my efforts. So what do you do?
Her is also a link to an admin who claimed they no longer use the wikia. So I'm thinking "how is it fair for a user to keep admin rights when they don't even use it for the wikia when other users such as me will be active and use the admin rights to maintain a safe environment for the Dork Diaries wikia?
- Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)Ignoring questions like that are quite annoying, but admins pretty much have free reign to ignore messages as they please sadly, just as long as it does not break ToU. Which none was not broken by ignoring a message. Most of the admins are currently inactive, except for ArietteFans, and even with them, it's been nearly a month since they've been on. If what you say is true, and they've ignored your requests, you'll have to wait out another month to adopt it. Because with the adoption rules, ALL admins have to be inactive for 60 days (you have just about a month left). I agree with you that if they are no longer interested/active on the Wiki, then they should be courteous enough to assign someone else rights to watch-over, but they didn't, and so the only way to adopt currently, is for ArietteFans to support your adoption, or wait until she eats up the 60 day limit. - Hello. In this case the only contributions of the admin since January consist of non-informational responses to message walls, so I would be willing to promote another sysop. You will need to create a blog about adopting the wikia and leave it up for a week to let other users know about your plans and have a chance to discuss it. Please also leave ArietteFans a message with a link to it. Let me know on my wall after a week and I can check back again. -- Wendy (talk) 04:23, April 17, 2015 (UTC)
