On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? Vsouza's last real edit/contribution was June 21st. He responded to the previous adoption query on Sept 9th and said he cannot promote anyone.
Any other information:
Vsouza said "only Tinydice (the wiki founder) can promote you. As far as I can tell myself and the other admins are currently not active here anymore. Thanks for your contributions" in response to Tompej's previous request. Neither he, nor the other admins have been done anything in the wiki since June or earlier. We're coming under spam/vandalism again from the same offender -- the 4th time and I obviously lack the power to do anything about this other than tediously edit pages he's vandalised. I'd like to apply for myself to gain adminship, and to have the ability to grant others the same privilege, as I'd promote Tompej as well for being an even more active contributor than myself at times. I do not want the responsibility solely on myself, but I don't want to see all of our hard work just sitting there ready to be disrupted anymore. Our candidates for deletion have remained stagnant as well, only increasing in number over time.
I've made aforum post (I think, not sure how wikia handles it) today, but there are not many contributors, so discussion will likely remain stagnant during the week or so required.
I've contacted VSTF via IRC, but haven't received any responses yet. The latest vandal is still active. At the very least, can we please require registered users (preferrably with an email) to be the only ones allowed to make edits and create new pages? Vsouzas is inactive and somehow saw the request, but nothing else came of it. Tompej is not an administrator and simply gave up on adopting the wiki because he thought our issues would be resolved, but the fact of the matter is that we still have not had any administrative action in 4 months. -tak15
- Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)He wants to disable anonymous editing. But, that is usually done if there are large amounts of vandals, and the community agrees to it. Joey (talk)
- Unofficial response: (Please wait for an official response by a staff member)As Joseph stated, anonymous contributors are disabled only certain conditions and such your request might be denied. However, if you feel need to do so, you may present your request using this. Just make sure to present that discussion Joseph mentioned. (The Great Lord David (talk) 17:29, September 23, 2014 (UTC))
