  • You can silence the app's notifications for a set period of time while you're busy elsewhere.
  • All app notifications, including ones about new editorial content, can now be found behind the bell icon in the bottom bar. 
  • There are new ways to create a Discussions contribution - including polls.
  • Both Discussions updates and news alerts can be found on a new notifications screen that can be accessed from the app's main navigation bar at the bottom.
  • You can now view images from Instagram and Twitter and watch videos linked from  YouTube more easily. 
  • You can find and subscribe to new fandoms more easily from the top shortcuts bar on the home screen.
  • App notifications can be silenced for a set period of time while you're busy elsewhere.

Community Apps: Latest Features

Android Version 2.9.8 (June 6th) iOS Version 2.9 (Jan 11th)
  • All community apps are now compliant with the new European law GDPR
  • Users within the EU will be asked to accept or reject data tracking upon opening the app for the first time.
  • EU users can change their mind about being tracked in the app settings.
  • Due to the new European law GDPR, the apps are no longer available in the store to users within the EU.
  • We are no longer actively supporting the iOS community apps and won't be fixing bugs or adding features.
  • You can find all the same wiki articles, Discussions and more in the unified iOS FANDOM app.
