Break out the cosmos and the high heels, the Sex and the City 2 movie is out! Since Wikians like to stay on top of all the latest news and trends in entertainment, yesterday many of the staff at Wikia took an outing to the much anticipated opening of Sex and the City 2 movie. The first film, which was released in 2008, was a follow-up to the six season HBO smash hit. Millions around the world saw the first film, and the Wikia staff were excited to be among the first to see the second!

There were those (every guy in the office), who turned down the offer to see the fabulous New York gals on the big screen. They are opting instead for a viewing of the new Prince of Persia movie, which is based on the classic video game Sands of Time!

    We hope y…

The past year at Wikia has been a busy one with lots of new features, tools and community members! We are continually working to make Wikia a fun place to meet, collaborate and build wikis with people who love the topics you love.

While we always work to develop solid features, we also regularly take dedicated time to review and resolve reported bug issues. This past week our Engineering Team focused on resolving over 100 bugs, while others in the office used the time to talk about ideas for future features on Wikia.

The community has been an amazing resource for finding and reporting bugs across the site, and we greatly appreciate this. If you run into a bug on Wikia, please let us know. We will continue to review and resolve bugs as quick…

Last year, I was redesigning the main page for new wikis, and I noticed a weird thing. There was a line on the main page that said "This wiki was founded in (Month) (Year)." I looked at what people were doing on that page, and I found that a number of people were filling in the month and year, but keeping the parentheses, like this: "This wiki was founded in (March) (2008)."
