I just realized that I forgot to put <nowiki></nowiki> in the question.
"What is the difference of making Tooltips with <div> vs <span>?"
Currently, my code is:
/************************************************************/ /* Tooltips */ /************************************************************/ span.Tooltip{ position:relative; /*this is the key*/ /* z-index:2; */ text-decoration:none; } span.Tooltip:hover{/*z-index:25;*/} /*this is text change, when user hovers it*/ span.Tooltip span{display: none; } span.Tooltip:hover span{ /*flying textbox*/ display:block; position:absolute; top:10px; left:100%; border: 2px groove #660000; border-radius: 3px; background-color: #2A2A2A; padding: 2px 5px; width: 300px; /* opacity: 0.9; filter: ALPHA(Opacity=90); */ z-index:1;
And I use a Template:Tooltip with the following content:
<span class="Tooltip">{{{1}}}<span>{{{2}}}</span></span>
I was wondering if there would be a difference if I replaced span.Tooltip with div.Tooltip.
Also, for some reason, I cannot do:
{{tooltip|<span style="color:#A30000">Bleeding</span>|Damage over time}} or
{{tooltip|<span style="color:#FF3300">Burning</span>|Damage over time}}
because I want to use {{tooltip}} with another template of mines that adds specific colors to specific texts.
Those should create something like:
<span class="Tooltip"><span style="color:#A30000">Bleeding</span><span>Damage over time</span></span> or <span class="Tooltip"><span style="color:#FF3300">Burning</span><span>Damage over time</span></span>
Is there conflict with this? If so, how would I fix this?
