Here are the release notes for FANDOM's code release scheduled for February 5, 2018. Many of these were scheduled for the February 1st release, which was cancelled:
- NOTABLE: We will update the Maps extension to version 5.2.0 (from 3.5.0). Key changes include:
- Wikis with Semantic Maps extension enabled will now have those semantic-specific features supported natively in Maps (Semantic Maps will be removed in coming weeks).
- Cluster property support added for Google Maps.
- Rotate control support added for Google Maps.
- Layer namespace will no longer be in use.
- Leaflet will now have layer support.
- Image overlays used in #display_map now support geocoding for their locations
- Full release notes can be read here
- NOTABLE: Featured Videos on mobile web will now follow you as you scroll throughout the page. You can click 'X' in the top right corner of the video to dismiss it for the duration of your time on the page.
- KNOWN ISSUES: We are continuing to look into a variety of issues with the recently updated classic rich text editor. Please do continue to let us know if you spot problems!
- The updated editor is more sensitive to incorrect wikitext, such as unclosed tags within templates - do give that a check if you see it removing wikitext straight after a template. (We are aware there are valid use cases for that though, and are working on a solution.)
