RfA Blurb
This is the third time that Charitwo has been up for an RfA here on Central, but I believe that he is finally ready this time in terms of good behavior, immense help with chores like reverting vandalism and the like, and pretty much every other issue that was brought up in an oppose reason during his first and second nominations.
In terms of qualifications, Charitwo has them all: he is very active here on Central, helps clean up and revert vandalism, and helps users in need. --Skizzerz 03:39, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Support
- Strong support --Skizzerz 03:39, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Strong support: Her (or his) third nomination should have happened a long time ago. There doesn't appear to be any reason to oppose her (or him) now. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 03:03, 15 December 2008 (UTC)- Maybe at a later time. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 17:40, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Oppose
- Strong Oppose. I would not expect candidates for Central adminship to have been deopped by staff. -- Manticore (talk) 03:09, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Wait, why did she (or he) lost sysop rights? --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 03:39, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- It's a bit of a misunderstanding. The account, Texas Kaos, had created a userpage, which was advertising a blogging community which he apparently hosts. I had deleted it like I would any other spam I've seen on Wikia. 8 minutes later, I received this message which was rather troubling. I had sent the user a message asking him to refrain from hostility and incivility and linked him to the spam help page on Help. The message was again followed up with this message. At this point, I can see attempting to discuss anything with him at that point was impossible. Early the next morning, while I was away at Hollywood, Bill apparently removed my sysop access there. I had not found out until the following Monday. Following a discussion with Bill, despite the circumstances, he had made up his mind. His words, "Hi - I understand your position on this. But I've made my decision. Please keep doing good work on Wikia and maybe someday we can revisit this." On the advice of another, I think it's best to withdrawal under the circumstances. --CharitwoTalk 13:31, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Him wanting to create a new wiki was never brought up. His userpage was an advertisement for a blogging community. Nothing more, nothing less. --CharitwoTalk 17:48, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I don't have any idea about what his user page looked like. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 17:54, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
