Description Edit

A one-minute video overview about the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Ant-Man's Pym Particle Discs, their powers, abilities, and characteristics as depicted in the MCU movies, and Avengers expanded universe.

Created by Hank Pym, Pym Particles Discs are the primary weapon of the Ant-Man Suit, with several units stored in a special compartment on the Suit's belt. When thrown, the discs release their Pym Particles upon impact with a target, triggering one of two effects depending on the type of disc used.

Red Discs shrink their target to the size of an insect and contain a unique form of Pym Particles similar to those that power the Ant-Man Suit. These particles shrink the space between atoms – reducing an object’s size.

Blue Discs enlarge the target to the size of a giant and contain Pym Particles different from those that power the original Ant-Man Suit. However, Scott Lang was capable of using this technology to reverse the effects of shrinking after rapidly plunging into the Quantum Realm – utilizing a blue disk in his suit regulator to return to his former human size.

Marvel movies featuring the Pym Particle Discs are: - Ant-Man (2015) - Captain America: Civil War (2016)
