I am an administrator at Wiki 24 and I am having a few issues with the new look. The most prominent of these is the new "Wiki Activity" button. Is there a way to redirect that straight to the Recent changes page rather than going to the practically useless activity page which is similar to Recent changes but with less information on?

Also, how would I go about changing the links next to the logo at the top of the page? The stuff that was randomly put up there isn't the most ideal things for our Wiki and we would like to change it.

Many thanks, --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 16:47, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

The button can be changed with:
$('a[data-id="wikiactivity"]').attr('href','/wiki/Special:RecentChanges').html('<img height="0" width="0" src="http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb25182/common/skins/common/blank.gif">Recent Changes');
and the navigation is MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation. —Manyman (talk) 06:56, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
A redirect from Wiki Activity straight to Recent changes may be a Terms of Use violation, as you are changing the functionality of the site. My advice is to simply add a recent changes option to your MyTools menu. You can do this by clicking "Edit my tools" from that menu and adding Special:RecentChanges to the tools list. (Also, you might want to be aware that there is a maximum of seven links on each top bar menu, making for a total of 28 links. :)) The 888th Avatar (talk) 14:53, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
It is a terms of use violation if you change it for the whole site, since wikia changed the TOU to stop just that from happening, so my advice would be that you use your personal CSS and suggest other uses do the same, which is not a terms of use violation, since the "wiki activity", "my home", or whatever wikia will be calling it in a few months has been a stupid idea from day one. - Archduk3 00:03, October 19, 2010 (UTC)
