What is your username? Speysider
Please link to the wiki here: http://naruto.wikia.com
How many edits have you made on that wiki? 1990
How many days/months have you been editing there? 1 year and 8 months.
On the Special Pages -> Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? Admins are regularly editing the wiki, the latest was TheUltimate3
Any other information:
There are no bureaucrats on the wiki. While there are two of them, they do not contribute (anymore) in any form to the wiki and are never active. I also have noticed unnecessary censorship due to a supposed image war (does that even exist) which defeats the purpose of a wiki at all. I will nominate myself since I'm an active editor, but many more crats are needed on the wiki. --Speysider (Talk Page) 20:32, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, we need someone to be a bureaucrat. There are many people who is deserving to be an admin or rollback. —IndxcvNovelist (Talk to Me|My Wiki) 09:17, May 19, 2012 (UTC)
One of the admins is Dantman who has over 10k edits. Spey has 1,990, Ind has 4,212 and Salil 1,015. This makes them very active editors, but it seems inappropriate to say that someone does "not contribute in any form to the wiki and are never active" when the person in question has more than the sum of objectors' combined.
People that it seems would be good to involve in this conversation are the Rollbacks (there are 9 of them) and the SysOps (there are 7). I would look forward to their commentary here.
- Ofcourse he has contributed a lot. What we mean is in the present, he is totally inactive. And deva27 is the only rollback user who is active —¤S@lil ¤ 15px (T@lk) 06:30, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Tycoil, the number of edits does not matter. The two crats no longer contribute in any form to Narutopedia because they don't see any point to doing so, when there's many admins to do the work. The number of rollbacks is also irrelevant since only 2 of them are even active. If your going to make an argument, at least get your facts right. You also seem to have absolutely no idea what your on about so please stay out of this. --Speysider (Talk Page) 07:33, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
- this is pointless now. It is fixed. —IndxcvNovelist (Talk to Me|My Wiki) 16:59, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
Hi. Dantman is active so he can appoint a bureaucrat after the community has a discussion/vote and picks an appropriate admin to be promoted. However, the only right a bureaucrat has that an admin does not have is to promote other users. So unless you really need more sysops or rollbacks or whatever appointed right now, there is no real need to have an active bureaucrat in addition to the active admins. Dantman can promote people even if he is not regularly around. Whatever the decision, it should be worked out on-wiki in this case. If, in future, you need to promote more users and Dantman is inactive, please make a community decision about who should receive bureaucrat rights and then ask us, and we will be happy to give them the rights. -- Wendy (talk) 03:50, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
