Hello there!
I am looking for help for a problem at D&D Wiki: The scope of this wiki encompasses, a few other wikis, e. g., Spelljammer Wiki, but is not meant to replace the more specific wikis. But I would still like to find the articles from the more specific wikis at D&D Wiki. So I created lists that correspond to the All Pages of the wikis with the narrower scope. As it is now, they have to be updated manually, however. Does anyone see a possibility that a bot could be created/used to do that? If so, how could this be done? (I have no experience with bots at all). And if it would indeed be possible, is there a chance this could be applied to a none-Wikia wiki, like the Great Library of Greyhawk? Thanks for any help! - Research Special:Export and Special:Import. --◄mendel► 15:46, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for that tool, however I did not want to incorporate all articles ot the narrower wikis, only the All pages page with all the links, so that the search engine of D&D Wiki would find that link an point an interested user to the more specialized wiki. I do not understand this Export function well yet, but I don't think it can help me for an automated import in this case. Daranios 17:43, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- You cannot make Special:AllPages show anything more than the articles on the current wiki. There's no way to do that. — TulipVorlax 23:20, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't want to change something in Special:AllPages. I have manually created a list of links of all articles, e. g. from Spelljammer Wiki in D&D Wiki here. Now I am looking for a bot that would update such a page automatically. Does anyone have/know of a bot that could be used like that? Daranios 18:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
