swearing. not quoting. you didnt even censor it. Teleporterley 15:20, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
The simple rule of chat is to not swear. Even if you are quoting someone, just censor the word to the greatest degree you can.--GodPray  16:07,2/23/2012

That is not really censoring. It is still clear what the word is. Use a replacement word instead. No need to actually use the word.--GodPray  17:11,2/23/2012
If you're referring to this wiki's chat, I would have to agree with Godisme. However, most wikis have their own rules on what is acceptable terminology while on the chat. Shotrocket6 15:37, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
There are no global chat rules beyond Wikia's general Terms of Use, but there generally is no good reason to allow unnecessary swearing in chat. The only legit reason I could think of would be quoting something from an adult-oriented show like Sons of Anarchy in the wiki for that show or some strange roleplaying wiki where swearing is allowed. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 27 Feb 2012 7:14 PM Pacific
Though you may be right, it may also depend on the subject of the wiki. A wiki for a mature subject may allow swearing in their chat. Shotrocket6 14:46, March 7, 2012 (UTC)
