A. DELETION OF ENTRIES

I started two entries in theatre.wikia.com:Musicals Directory A-L and Musicals Directory M-Z. But soon I received the following message:

"WARNING: This page is 61 kilobytes long; some browsers may have problems editing pages approaching or longer than 32kb. Please consider breaking the page into smaller sections."

Therefore I started a new category Musicals Directory and transferred all the materials from the above two entries into this one place.

Now I want to a) Delete both these entries, Musicals Directory A-L and Musicals Directory M-Z, and, b) Place a new title Musicals Directory that can automatically redirect you to the new category Musicals Directory.

How can this be done?

As it says below, only a sysop can delete pages. I would delete the content from the entries and leave them there (or redirect them to the category page). There is no penalty for having the empty pages in your wiki. I understand the desire to clean up pages, but there is no requirement to do so.

To create a link to a catagory in a page use the following: [[:Category:Musicals Directory]] Note the colon before the word Category, this turns the link from a "add this page to the Musical Directory category" to a "create a link to the Musical Directory category page" Tjoneslo 13:39, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

B. CORRECTION OF SPELLING MISTAKE

I misspelled "Dreamgirls" as "Dreangirls" in the Musical Directory: http://theatre.wikia.com/wiki/Dreangirls How can I correct this spelling mistake?

Only sysops can delete pages. Ask one of them to do that (there's no sysop on this wiki!!! WTF?). To rename a page you must hit the "move" link on the top of the page --Ciencia Al Poder ¿Algo que decir? 17:44, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

You can find a list of sysops for 'Theatre wiki' at w:c:theatre:Special:Listusers/sysop and w:c:theatre:Special:Listusers/staff. Huh! There aren't any sysops on that wiki except for Wikia staff!!?? Could someone make Marcushan a sysop and a bureaucrat please. --Leon (talk) 19:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

You don't need special authorization to move a page. Move the misspelled page to the correct spelling. The old misspelled page will have a redirect to the new, correct one. Especially for common misspellings the redirect may be useful. --RJ 20:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
