Some articles will have their categories duplicated—sometimes more than once. I have seen this happen on three wikis at least. This is just a guess, but I think this may be due to the category feature and a combination of the new editor. I never got this problem on my end since I use Monobook and I type the categories without using that feature.
I don't know if this is a bug waiting to be fixed, and I haven't kept up with technical updates much to be honest. I don't want to check how this happens to send a ticket if it's already being looked into. --D. (talk · contr) 07:13, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a bug that has been waiting to be fixed for some time. :P Never hurts to send another ticket in though – the ones that get fixed quicker theoretically are the ones more people are complaining about. ;) The 888th Avatar (talk) 11:14, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
