I do all my web browsing with the browser Opera. (Currently using version 9.23 on Windows XP.) Sometime in the last two or three days, I've begun having frequent "edit conflict" warnings in my work on the Transformers wikia. I would guess that 75% or more of my edits give me the conflict warning. However, none of these warnings have been true -- no one else was working on the articles at the time. Nobody else on the TF wiki seems to have encountered this problem so I suspect it's Opera-specific. Was there a change to the software recently that might have brought this bug up? --Steve-o 01:11, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Some things I can think of:
  • Do you often save incrementally? That is, do you click [save], and then click [back] to continue editing? (this isn't likely, as a user shouldn't edit conflict with themselves)
  • Are you sure you're consistently logged in?
  • Does it happen if you disable JS?
