Why does the slider for use on the main page of a wiki not have basic functionality like the ability to be centered or placed to the right? The options also sometimes are able to use wiki markup and sometimes aren't. Is this "feature" still being worked on, and if so, what's the time table for these to be "fixed". Also, why does the slider need facebook.net to function, shouldn't this be internal? - Archduk3 11:50, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
According to the help pages and what works with other galleries and div elements, everything. I ended up having to manually pad the left side to center it or move it to the right with a div element. If you find anything that works, by all means share it. - Archduk3 14:18, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
- So the position and widths attributes don't work on the gallery element when it's type is slider? TK999 14:21, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
Yes. It might just be easier for you to try it yourself, provided there's a 673x410 image around here somewhere. - Archduk3 15:57, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
- So, what exactly in w:c:help:Help:Galleries_and_slideshows/wikitext is wrong? It would be nice if this were up to date. From the conversation above, it sounds like at least some of the help page info is wrong (i.e.
position=doesn't work in slideshow mode). -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 17 Jan 2012 3:37 PM Pacific
