How can I get a Navbox template (which is located at the bottom of every wiki page for more information) on my wiki? AJona1992 21:30, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Copy the code (on the original template page, usually Template:Navbox), but don't forget the CSS code on Monaco.css either. --Light Daxter - Talk 21:43, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Tried, but no success, can you please try telling me step-by-step, thank you AJona1992 21:46, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Show us where you tried? --Light Daxter - Talk 22:07, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I tried months ago, but later gave up, now after that I have over 400 articles I need this template. The information you gave me has no links to it, so it's even more difficult for me to try this again AJona1992 22:09, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- See w:c:templates:Template:Navbox. --Pcj (T•C) 22:16, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- It's not helping me, like I said I tried everything but nothing works! Is there an easier way or a simple way of adding this template? AJona1992 22:29, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I am trying to have this template to be located at the bottom of articles on my wiki AJona1992 22:55, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- What wiki? --Pcj (T•C) 22:56, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I Think AJona is look for an option to have the template, auto added to each page rather than manually add it to each page. —Roguebfl(talk) 22:57, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- :Here is my wiki (http://rodriguezfamilymembers.wikia.com/wiki/RFM_Wiki). AJona1992 23:02, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- :And to Rougebfl, the answers I am getting aren't 100% clear to me, I don't want it auto added, I know that's it cannot be done, but with help from you guys I can have this template. AJona1992 23:02, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- OK, so the template was already at w:c:rodriguezfamilymembers:Template:Navbox and seems to be working fine. What issue are you having with it? --Pcj (T•C) 23:05, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is that when I add the information, it is not saved, instead all it says is "The land of bob" AJona1992 23:06, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- you need the change what comes after |header= when you paste the example code on your test page. --Roguebfl(talk) 23:12, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- OK, make sure you're not using the Rich Text Editor. Use the following code to call it:
{{navbox|header=|body=}}Put what you want in the header after |header= and what you want in the body after |body=. Hope that helps. --Pcj (T•C) 23:12, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I did that, but when I added it to the page I wanted it to be at all it gave me was "header" and "body", did I do something wrong? AJona1992 23:20, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you! and is this the only Navbox that this wiki can have? or can it be like the regular wikipedia navboxes? AJona1992 23:25, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- This navbox is just a pretty basic version of the Wikipedia template, you can have as many templates as you want. --Pcj (T•C) 23:29, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I think you should use Special:Contact and have the staff look at w:c:rodriguezfamilymembers:Template:Navbox, since it gives the error "Template loop detected: Template:Navbox" for no apparent reason. Otherwise, it seems to be working fine on w:c:rodriguezfamilymembers:Annette. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 4:28 PM PST 6 Jun 2010
- Ok thank you though AJona1992 23:30, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I already sent a complaint for my wiki but thanks anyways! AJona1992 23:55, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
