I have a question about wiki accounts. Can a user have 2 wiki accounts as long they don't use both on the one wiki? Black Dragon Laguz 00:07, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Its fine to have two accounts as long as they are for legitimate use. Just don't use one for sockpuppeting or vandalism. The question though is why would you want two accounts?--GodPray  00:30,4/3/2011 

Okay. I guess it's kind of a silly reason, but my current username just seems like a strange username depending on the type of wiki I would use it for, so I'd rather have another account to use on another wiki. Black Dragon Laguz 01:29, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

If you're going to use 2 accounts, I would make the secondary one on particular wikis redirect to the primary one. Add #REDIRECT [[User:primary_user]] to the secondary user page and #REDIRECT [[User talk:primary_user]] to the secondary user talk page. Fandyllic, the problem with that is he will not be pinged when he gets a new message then. A simpler way to do it is to just list on your user page that this is an alternate account of [[User:Primary User]].--GodPray  03:36,4/6/2011 

If a redirect is setup, it should redirect before anyone edits the inactive user talk page. The problem isn't the redirect, the problem is using different accounts on different wikis. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 6 Apr 2011 7:49 AM Pacific

Could I add something to my user page, like "I also have another account that I use/have used on Fire Emblem Wiki, EarthBound wiki, and Zeldapedia? The links would be used to link to my user pages on those wikis. Black Dragon Laguz 23:04, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Made a mistake there: I meant to word that like this: "I also have another wiki account that I use--or have used--on these wikis: Fire Emblem Wiki, EarthBound Wiki, and Zeldapedia.". Those would all be on my other wikia user page. Black Dragon Laguz 19:18, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
