When uploading an image through the new insert photo gallery feature users are not given the ability to select licensing for the image like they can with the add image feature. I think this should be added.

Agree with that idea (it encourages use of unlicensed images IMO) and also actually allow the 'renaming' of images instead of there existing (usually) numerical filename being used. As it also defeats efforts to get users to have filenames that mean something and are thus sortable & more easily found to use in other articles by other users. Wikia is weak on image copyright IMO & some Wikia sites are almost all 'stolen' images as no acknowledgment of source given at all. We had that problem too, so we removed completely the upload form in the WikiaMiniUpload and the WikiaGallery (This can easily be done using CSS) so people are only able to select previous uploaded images and not upload new ones from there, and using the introductory message of the WikiaMiniUpload to direct users to Special:Upload. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) ^-WikiDex 19:00, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
