- The "Go" button, doesn't bring you to the article but to the unrequested search results.
- Doesn't recognize the prefixes. If I want to go to "Category:England", typing "Category:England" in the search box isn't enough anymore.
- Related to the former: there's no way to specifie which namespace you are digging.
- It makes it much harder to create a new article. The old search gave you the option to create the article if there was no existing match for the search. Now you have to create a red link elsewhere first, in order to create the article desired. Newies, who do not use the new skin, will find it harder to sort this one out, and it's a bit annoying for regulars too.

- Generally I would suggest to switch to new search engine only when community agrees. It's pretty sucky for now and will scare our readers which isn't profitable for Wikia. Also as long is it have option for searching Wikipedia (only English, heh) it make no sense for wikis claiming that they are not Wikipedia.
- For Nonsensopedia and Muzyka, please switch to the old search engine as soon as possible. Szoferka 12:01, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't mind the wikipedia option. Actually in my serch box I alredy had aditional buttons for searhing english wp, spanish wp, uncyclopedia, and the Real Academia's dictionary. I think I used to have one for searching central wikia or all wikias too. Maybe developers should check it out, it works much better than the current search engine: w:c:Inciclopedia:Usuario:Chixpy/IMBS3/searchbox.js. Meanwhile, I'd like to request the old engine back for Inciclopedia. Thanks.--Rataube 14:38, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- While I don't mind the new search so much, the four problems listed at the top here make the new experience quite awful, and much less useful than the old version. I'd also request that the search for the L5R Wiki be reverted to the old version until these problems are fixed. ~WestonWyse ! 19:02, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
This search option is a beta, but still, why was such an integral function put onto the wikia wikis? its not ready yet, but if you want it on the wiki's then please give us a way to turn it off and switch back to the other one.--Silent Penguin 16:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Rataube, mainly in the third point. I just wanted searching the code of a template in MediaWiki and.. in summary: frustrating and useless. And what about creating a new article? fireworks with red links. Please revert this changes as soon as posible. Thanks a lot. --Mvp14 15:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- This is a fixed new search, they will not revert it, they will correct it. The issue is that they came with a high quantity of updates and new features that the tech team are a little bit overwhelm so its taking time the corrections of all the bugs at the same time--Cizagna (Talk) 18:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- If no one likes it, and there hasn't actually been a really positive comment about it on here yet -- they all seem to be either negative or neutral -- it wouldn't make a lot of business sense to keep it. ~WestonWyse ! 19:16, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- (Please, traduce this to the english): Rataube, estás mal: El botón "go" no va a "buscar", lo que pasa es que el "enter", en vez de "ir", va a "buscar". Su Santidad Walter de Zum ¿Qué hice ahora?. (Escrito el Monday, 4 de June del 2007 a las 22:56, como dice aquí -> 22:56, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Rataube link to mi JavaScript is wrong (this JavaScript is for a search and replace box while editing) the correct one is w:c:inciclopedia:Usuario:Chixpy/IMBS3/modulobusqueda.js. @ Chixpy 00:32, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
