If you want to do line break, you have to insert <br /> at the end of the line.

This is John. He is...
John is someone...
.....
.....
.....
.....
The end.

Users usually have to post something like the above with many line breaks. Inserting <br /> one by one is time-consuming and pretty annoying. I'm not sure why wikia doesn't support line breaks natively.

<pre> ... </pre> is not an option because we need to render other wiki codes.

Is there any faster way to allow/insert massive line breaks?--Comeon 13:04, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

If it isn't installed on your wiki, use the poem extension, which you will need to ask to have activated. (parsing issues for me atm...) --Sky (talk) 14:40, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Edits link under the edit windows can be of use too. You can add anything you want in there. The mediawiki page is MediaWiki:Edittools. You can have an exemple at c:fr.guildwars:MediaWiki:Edittools. But yeah, the poem tag could be usefull too. — TulipVorlax 20:01, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

It's so cool! It's amazing! Poem extension is just what I want. Thanks for the tips about MediaWiki:Edittools too. Thanks a lot for your help.--Comeon 23:20, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Aye, I understand the issue, but it's how MediaWiki was specifically designed. Changing that base design would cause so many issues that it's just scary to even think about :) Glad poem sounds like it'll do your job. Kirkburn  talk  contr    19:26, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
