Hello, Some time ago I signed up for this place (Wikia) and wikispaces. Interestingly, I had started wikispaces before permission had been granted to start a Wiki here. Now Wikispaces is getting ad ridden and is limiting space which is really lame and prevents site growth. So I would like to move from my wikispaces place to here and save all the old pages if this is possible? My Old place is "Re-Volt the Wikia" at http://revolt.wikispaces.com and my newer place is at http://revolt.wikia.com JSharp in IRC tells me I do not need to post the email I received proving I started a wiki here since it is already on record.

What I would like done is to have the "Re-Voltipedia" renamed to "Re-Volt the Wiki" as I had at Wikispaces. Followed by some way of converting all of my pages from there over to here.

If your old wiki used MediaWiki software, you can use Special:Export to export all pages, and then import them to your new wiki using Special:Import. If not, there isn't much you can do. --Bigd56 | Talk 19:53, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

I figured out how to get wikitext of my wikispaces place. Just got to "Manage Space" then "Export".

But can some one rename the http://revolt.wikia.com place? The header says "Revoltipedia" not "Re-Volt the Wiki". :-/ G4JC 20:40, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi G4JC. I'll rename the wiki for you now. There's no easy way to move content over since the old site isn't MediaWiki, but if you email me what you have exported (to angela@wikia.com), I will help you to get this into the new wiki.
