Hi! Good news! We just launched our Chat feature for testing on Community Central! You can access it from the sidebar of any internal page (not the homepage) while logged in. Since Community central is a place to discuss Wikia wikis in general, we're expecting this to become an extension of the discussion that also happen in the forums. If you're feeling inclined to experiment with the feature, I'd love if you hung out there a bit, answered questions as you do in the forums, and let us know what you think of the project. Better than the old Shoutbox.

A few minor feature requests:

• Add timestamps to chat messages. So Monchoman45 doesn't have to teach us how to hack them in... ;-)
• Add a user talk page link to the avatar info box along with user profile page and contributions links.

Yeah i really like chat, and i think its a good way to get some messaging through instead of waiting for a message on your talk page. I think chatmods should be able to time limit kickbans and people should be able multi private chat though. Well its a great way to connect with other wikians.
