I will use special:contact to tell them about it because i think it's a real pain. — TulipVorlax 19:36, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, they're working on it already.
See the blog post link it the site notice. — TulipVorlax 20:01, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Might be already fixed.
I was maybe seen a problem because of Forum:Pagebar getting crowded.
Enlarging my browser window a bit solved my problem (but he page bar is still crowded). — TulipVorlax 20:12, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
Should be resolve soon. --Uberfuzzy 20:23, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
Wikia needs somebody to do a ckeck-list of things to test and have in mind before changes go to production environment. This, and w: interwiki are a too obvious ones that shouldn't be forgotten. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -WikiDex 20:48, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
They aren't able to catch every bug. I'm sure they test new things extensively before pushing them to production. --Cmelbye 21:29, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
Excuse me, but when you change an entire subdomain, the "main" subdomain that relies on w: is pretty obvious that you need to redirect all occurrences of w:. But heh, what is pretty obvious for me may not be obvious for staff and techs. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -WikiDex 21:38, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
It's true.
What is ovious to one isn't necessary to others.
That's why we need to be tolerant, or so.
I've jump to soon on the special:contact page because i needed that global CSS when it occured.
Then i put more thinking is this and decided i should just let the dust return on the ground and do some others things while they resolve this, like play a bit of Guild Wars. Lol. — TulipVorlax 01:37, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
q.q {{w:User:Balistic Pve}} isn't working anymore ): — Balistic 04:42, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
That's a known issue that's being worked on. See Forum:User Templates. Grunny (Talk) 04:45, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Kyle and I actually did make a pretty extensive checklist of everything that could possibly even slightly break before doing this, and spent a few weeks preparing for this changeover, thats why only a few things broke, and not dozens of them. We were hoping that the JS and CSS would continue to work, and redirect naturally through some url redirection magic that was happening (turns out it didnt). As for the w: and wikia: again, we thought the redirection would cover that. There was no practical way to setup a test to check those without disturbing the current working flow up till that day. Wikia tries to do as much testing as time and manpower will allow, but sometimes certain events happen in different environments that we didnt test for happen. What few bugs you ever see make it to production are only a tiny tiny sample of edgecases that didnt get caught in testing. --Uberfuzzy 21:29, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
