I started checking in again on the Nickelodeon Wikia recently, and it appears the admin has disappeared again. The founder hasn't been seen since June '05, and the user who was made Admin after that has only made one edit since July '06. I've been trying to do some cleanup, but right now, there are well over 100 articles articles and files marked for deletion that are likely to simply sit there forever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ~WestonWyse ! 13:29, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I never gave much consideration to the Nickelodeon wiki cause the WGEP hasn't expanded into the Cartoons phase yet. But as the founder of it who generally gives aid to any Animanga wiki or wiki related to the project you're free to request Sysop status for me on any wiki which has a relation to the WGEP's total list of topics if you need any help and don't have anyone picked out as a perfect administrator. I'm active enough to handle just about any deletion request or other administrative request you need done. ~Dantman(talk) tricks May 14, 2007 @ 14:08 (UTC)
- I was actually just thinking of getting the articles taken care of, but if we're talking about making another new admin -- probably a good idea, admittedly -- I think I'd like to volunteer. I actually would like to see the Nick Wiki in the WGEP (...now that I know it exists), but it still needs a lot of work. A lot of work. I'm just not sure that you'd have time, since it's not a current phase yet, but the L5R Wiki is fairly self-sustaining these days, which gives ma some spare wiki time.
- I'm just not sure how to request adminship, for me or anyone else. Never done it before. Is there a page for that? because I can't seem to find it. ~WestonWyse ! 02:05, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Continue to edit for a few weeks, and then request to adopt it. Also, as I see there are a few (one?) other active editors, you should make contact with them, and decide who (you?) should request to adopt the wiki. If there is any sysop action needed, ask one of the comteam here (like me). --Splarka (talk) 08:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- There seem to be quite a few active users, but they're all anonymous. Not counting myself and Angela's rollbacks, there are three registered users in the month's recent changes log, each having worked on one page. Angela's been busier over there, frankly. Still, I'll post something. ~WestonWyse ! 12:13, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- The WGEP can jump to another phase at any time. The only thing it needs to move to another phase is a few people willing to work in that area. We've already extended into the Visual Novels/Animanga related games section because the AliceSoftWiki intends to join the project. The only reason that we haven't expanded into the Manga section even though the wiki is inactive and perfect for adoption into the project is because no-one has pushed for it. But if you want the WGEP to move up in it's phases then moving to the end and adopting all the top-level wiki which are inactive is fine with the project. Nothing is really dead-weight because even a completely inactive InuYasha Wiki doesn't have much effect because most of the project things are handled by bot. If the project expands past phase 1.1 though, we'll half to request the central Graphical Entertainment Wiki and being migration to make it work. ~Dantman(talk) tricks May 15, 2007 @ 08:45 (UTC)
- I have to admit that the crossover between the WGEP and Animepedia pages are a little confusing. A wikia all its own sure wouldn't hurt. ~WestonWyse ! 12:53, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
I will be happy to step up for the position and help you.--Kronos 20:42, 22 May 2007 (UTC) talk
