I'm was just wondering how to remove the nowiki tags in this template. Any ideas as to how I may achieve this?

The first thing I'd try is to replace the <nowiki/> tags by <nowiki></nowiki> tags. Hunter789 22:09, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
I moved the frontward slash to the back of 'nowiki' within the source code, although nothing has changed, the tags are still [inconveniently] there.

<nowiki> tags are html-like tags to tell the wiki engine not to transclude or parse anything within the opening tag (<nowiki>) and the closing tag (</nowiki>). One practice in html/xml is that instead of writing a tag like that <nowiki></nowiki> (with nothing inside), one could write it in a shorter fashion (<nowiki/>). Since what is written in edit pages is not html but wikitext, and since there is no point in writing <nowiki> tags with nothing inside it, I believe Wikimedia didn't consider parsing and recognizing the <nowiki/> tag.
All of this to suggest to add <nowiki>[with a space] before each of those lonely </nowiki>, as they are currently closing tags without opening ones. Hunter789 23:06, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
Which begs the question, what are those tags doing there in the first place? And the ones with only a space inside them?  Nidek   (Talk) [[Special:Contributions/Nidek| Special:Editcount/Nidek edits made ]] 01:30, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
My guess is that a first editor wanted to make sure a space was inserted at a precise location, inserting the <nowiki> </nowiki> code, then another finding that it was too heavy to read when editing made the </nowiki> and did not look at the result. But that's just speculation :P Hunter789 01:47, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
Ugh, still have no idea how to get rid of them... It was working perfectly fine ( tags didn't show up in the infobox) until about 9 hours ago.

(Reset indent) I believe that these tags are transcluded from the http://narutoprofile.wikia.com/wiki/Template:IBox/Row template, so to get rid off them, that template needs to be edited. BUT, if this is a copy of the template/SMW structure from the Naruto wiki, then I'm sure Dantman had a good reason to put these there. That means that if you remove them, you might end up breaking something else. Sovq 06:16, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

I do not quite understand why those troublesome tags reappeared; the templates were working perfectly fine until about 13 hours ago.

Hmm, well if it was working fine, and nothing changed in the template and its sub-templates, perhaps it should be considered as a bug and staff should be contacted? Hunter789 15:43, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
